Nine is usually a hard, difficult and stressful age, not that 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 aren't. But 9 is ,to me, a place where you really start to grow up. Blogging, in my case, is part of that growing up. We will see how I take that on.
Right now I am sitting at our family computer listening to my younger sister pretend to be Rachel Ray as my Mom contently listens. Maybe I should tell you about my family; My younger sister is Nicole, age 8. My older sister is Bekah, age 14. My older brother is Jacob, age 15. My Mom is Valerie, age 41. My Dad is Michael, age 49. But that's just so you know who everyone is in case I mention them. But, like I said, right now my sister Nicole is touching all the food and experimenting with it to see how it turns out. She calls her little 'show' Finding Foods. I think she's trying to be like Rachel Ray, but her foods don't always turn out as good. For example; yesterday during dinner, Nicole tried making celery with peanut butter and toasted it in the toaster. My Mom told her to call it Roasted Celery and she agreed. My Mom was supportive of this but asked if Nicole was actually going to eat her concoctions. When Nicole answered no, my Mom told her she had to eat everything she made, plus what she was served. So Nicole ate the Roasted Celery. I didn't eat it myself, and all Nicole said was that it was really chewy. But I know one thing; I will never eat toasted celery in my life.
Nicole always makes a big deal about little things when it comes to her cooking. Like when she applied the peanut butter on the celery, she used chopsticks. We all laughed, but Nicole told Mom to tell us to stop laughing. Usually, on Finding Foods, Nicole makes healthy foods. She said that this week was healthy meals and next week was healthy snacks. Her slogan is 'If you don't know where to look, come to Finding Foods!' She always says it in a sing - song voice. She even got Bekah to play piano while she sings it. Bekah is a 'big fan' of Nicole. But there's one thing that I'll remember; Nicole saying that she was on Ellen De'Generous.
